With in-depth research, on-location filming across the European Union (EU), interviews with policy makers and immigration experts, and reports from inside the immigrant communities, Europe at a crossroads documents the largest movement of people in the history of modern day Europe. This series examines the anti-immigration fever and documents the impact of actions being taken by governments and civil society in the EU to tackle deep-seated racism. It looks at claims that convincing the European public that they are not being over-run by "bogus" refugees is an uphill battle. It accompanies a group of undocumented migrants on their way to the European Union. It features ethnic groups who oppose integration when it leads to assimilation, and are determined to survive in Europe as communities with their own cultural or religious identity. It explores new measures to stop the immigration flow into Europe.
