Fieldworks

This is an easy-to-use data presentation and analysis package for IBM-compatible PCs aimed at field studies in ecology or bio-geography. Fieldworks consist of two modules; Species Distribution and Statistics which together provide a powerful combination for the visual and statistical analysis of ecological data. The resulting data, both biotic (plant species) and abiotic (gradient, moisture content, etc) can be displayed in the form of bar charts or kite diagrams. The data can be summarised simply using descriptive statistics or tested in more detail for relationship and evidence of similarity or diversity.
Ideal for use in the field with a laptop or later (for more in depth analysis back at the classroom or field study centre). The analysis and presentation techniques available on Fieldworks can also be applied to anything requiring research on distribution such as retail functions in a town. Excellent product.
