GEOPACKS PC Slide Show Manager

No need for a slide projector! This interactive software allows both teachers and students to create their own computer based slide shows using digital images from digital cameras, scanned pictures or web based sources. Detailed visual commentaries can be added to each slide and tailored to suit varying ages or abilities. Each slide can have various 'hotspots' added to it which link directly to additional sources of information. A glossary of key terms can be created that can be accessed any time during the show; this will give explanations and definitions of key words and phrases.
The package comes with three sample shows that cover the River Kent, a sand dune ecosystem in Cumbria and weather systems. Teachers can use shows to demonstrate geographical processes, patterns, landforms etc, or students themselves can use it for demonstrating their understanding of subject material or backing up fieldwork results. The software can be used with existing GEOPACKS IT products (for example River Channel Analysis) to produce an integrated study combining both analysed data sets with striking visual imagery and commentary. An excellent way to bring field data alive. Ideal for both student reports & lesson planning.
