Ordnance Survey
The Ordnance Survey provides a wide range of resources for teachers at all levels of the curriculum. It publishes a magazine called Mapping News which contains examples of current projects in schools and classroom work.

MapZone® is a totally free, bright and lively web site produced by Ordnance Survey that aims to teach children, between 7 and 16 years, mapping skills in a fun way.

Historic maps
Historical maps can be useful in helping pupils to inquire about aspects of social and environmental change. This web site allows pupils and teachers to search for old maps and they can be downloaded and printed.

Multimap
This website provides maps at different scales from a wide range of sources. The site has a range of aerial photographs for large urban areas in the UK.
